Will Chylik: Brand work that goes places

I'm a designer, content creator and photographer finishing a degree in advertising, PR and media design at CU Boulder in May 2027.

About me

I grew up outside Cleveland and started making things in middle school, teaching myself Photoshop and Illustrator from YouTube tutorials. My senior project was with a branding studio there, and that's when design stopped being a hobby.

Now I'm at CU Boulder studying Advertising, Public Relations & Media Design. I ran social media and merchandise for my fraternity chapter, and on my own I build content accounts that have passed a million combined views by letting the numbers decide what gets posted next.

I spent a semester at the Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona. Living somewhere new changed how I look at brands. The best ones make you feel like you've been somewhere, even on a phone screen.

After I graduate I want a role in brand, content or experiential marketing, ideally one that keeps me moving. I care about working for a brand I can be proud to say I was part of.

Barcelona in seven photographs

My final project from my semester at the Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona: the attitudes, habits and lifestyle of the city. I edited each image differently, because Barcelona is too three-dimensional for one filter.

Fullpacks LLC

Co-founder & purchasing manager · Cleveland, Ohio · 2021 to 2022

The summer after my sophomore year of high school, a friend came to me with an idea: start our own Amazon storefront. We started in our bedrooms, looking for products we could flip, and sold them out of our garages.

We kept reinvesting everything back into the business. That got us to a one-year lease on our own office space and a warehouse under Fullpacks LLC, and a team of around five employees.

My job was sourcing. I contacted the leads we found, set up meetings with suppliers, virtual or in person, and got their wholesale pricing sheets so we could decide what to stock.

At the start of 2022 we slowly phased out the storefront so we could focus on college applications.

MMA Mixdown

Founder & content creator · TikTok · Summer 2025

My feeds were full of podcast clips and other short-form content, and I wanted to understand how the algorithm actually decides what spreads. So the summer going into my junior year of college, I started MMA Mixdown to find out.

I built the page with AI content creation tools, curated user-generated clips from popular creators, and used TikTok analytics to decide what to post next. In about two months it went from zero followers to thousands, with hundreds of thousands of impressions and millions of views.

I ended the project because of how much money I had to put into the AI tools I was using. It was a great learning experience: it raised my media literacy a lot, and it taught me how to measure KPIs and track which content actually works.

AI news agents

Builder · X · January 2025

In January of my sophomore year of college, I got hooked on artificial intelligence and news aggregators. I use news aggregators constantly myself, so I wanted to build my own: an AI aggregator that pulled from APIs and news sources and wrote and posted its own content, made from scratch.

I built several AI agents, each covering a different kind of news, like political news and meteorology, and deployed them on X. I tweaked and ran them for about a month.

I ended the project when API pricing and usage got too expensive for what it was.
